Similar and different described the 2015 Comic Con event that puts San Diego directly into the ‘nerd’ spotlight each year. Similar because it never fails to provide exceptional entertainment for those attending Different because the focus this year was more about TV Stars than Movie Stars. It seems that TV has made a big push to up its game and the result is that they have taken some of the ‘Super Hero/ Zombie/ Sci-Fi’ limelight away from the movie industry. Even the private parties had a guest list of random TV Stars that blended in with guests. Like the movie world, they were there for self-promotion but unlike movie talent, they were much more accessible and into the mix and mingle. They even took time to jump in our photo booths and get a little crazy. Anyone remember the TV series, Heroes? They are coming back with a whole new version, Heroes Reborn.

Greg Grunberg, the actor who plays “Matt Parkman” in both versions of Heroes, attended the private party hosted by Scholastic, Inc. He took part in announcing the nominees for the annual Eisner Awards, which honors creative achievement in American comic books and graphic arts. Greg also appeared in Mission Impossible 3, and the TV series, Masters of Sex, House, Alias, Lost, Love Bites and The Client List. He is a busy guy but not too busy to have some fun in the Epod Photo Booths. Although he had to be coerced into wearing a boa, he knew how to strike the perfect pose(s).
